Building Healthy Futures: The Campaign to Prevent Unintended Pregnancy in New York City
Building Healthy Futures addresses the fact that 64% of pregnancies in New York City are unintended. Lack of information about and access to birth control prevent many people from using it. But having a child before you're ready can create financial stress and put your plans for the future on hold.
Planned Parenthood of New York City, the Bronx District Public Health Office - New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Bronx Health Link, Hostos Community College, Montefiore Medical Center, and the Women’s Housing and Economic Development Corporation (WHEDco) came together to launch Building Healthy Futures, first in the Bronx and then citywide.
